4A games is making plans for the next sequel of its Metro franchise. The game studio is planning to open a studio in Malta. 4A Games’ CEO and Head of Business Dean Sharpe said,”By basing our new headquarters in Malta, a member state of the EU, 4A Games will be able to better compete on the international stage. Malta offers fantastic incentives for game development, and we are confident 4A Games will be able to attract the very best talent from Ukraine, Malta and beyond.”
4A Games’ Andrew Prokhorov and Oles Shishkovstov will be relocating to Malta. The company will be hiring recruits from Ukraine and Malta as they expand accordingly. Along with the news of their new office, they also confirmed that they’re working on an unannounced Metro title along with other unannounced projects using their 4A Engine.
4A engine is used in Metro: Last Light which was released last year. Its still not known when would the studio announce the name of the title, let alone any information about the game’s release. But with the new office space and new hirings, its looking good for 4A Games so far.
