Noctua L9x65_23

Noctua NH-L9x65 CPU Air Cooler

SKU: NH-L9x65

The NH-L9x65 is a taller, performance-enhanced version of Noctua’s award-winning NH-L9 low-profile coolers. With 65 instead of 37mm height and four instead of two heatpipes, the NH-L9x65 is more powerful than its smaller siblings yet retains their 95x95mm footprint, which guarantees 100% RAM and PCIe compatibility on Intel-based ITX mainboards and makes the cooler more convenient to work with as it doesn’t overhang near-socket connectors.

From Hardware BBQ:

If you have a low-height/ less clearance type mini ITX case design, like the Coolermaster Elite 130, these are pretty good. But otherwise, you can take a look at CM D92, NH-U9S, the slim profile NH-U12S, NH-U14S and the monstrous NH-D15. Unlike Intel specific L9i and AMD specific L9a cooler, this one uses Securfirm2 that is bundled with socket kits for both AMD and Intel platform.

From Modders Inc.:

There was zero clearance issues encountered and the 95×95 layout is exactly within the LGA1150 Intel “keep-out zone”. There is even allowance and mounting support for 25mm thick fan such as a Noctua NF-A9 for better performance. Build quality and fully furnished accessories are the standard Noctua, which means no half-measures or cost-cutting was taken. The same level of care and extras provided for the flagship NH-D15 is not spared on the “lowly” NH-L9x65. This is one low-profile cooler that has touch-the-sky performance and not just reaches for the bar, but sets a new one entirely.

From Benchmark Reviews:

The performance of the Noctua NH-L9x65 is what is expected from such a small cooler. It managed to make some gains when compared to the Intel stock cooler and it’s predecessor the NH-L9i, but there is a lack of major improvements that would make the NH-L9x65 comparable to any adequate tower heatsink. Overall, the NH-L9x65 managed to keep our i5 4670k under sustainable temperatures.
