Both discrete GPU makers have prepared its newer drivers for launch to sync with the release of Watch Dogs. Though Nvidia was the one who signed up with Watch Dogs for ‘graphic performance and enhancement’, AMD isn’t planning to stay behind.
The new Nvidia GeForce 337.88 WHQL drivers mainly emphasizes on the game is it provides up to 75% boost in frame rates and called as ‘an essential upgrade for Watch Dogs’. Nvidia also provided a tweaking guide for the game. For those who don’t know, Nvidia already started bundling the game with some of the selected Nvidia discrete GPU models. The update also enables Nvidia’s TXAA anti-aliasing and HBAO+ for the game.
The new driver does include DX11 and SLI optimisations for other games, such as Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag, Batman: Arkham Origins, Battlefield 4, BioShock Infinite, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Far Cry 3, Titanfall, Hitman Absolution and many more. AMD 14.6 catalyst drivers will be introducing another Eyefinity implementation. According to the information at hand, the update drivers allow users to mix their displays with different resolutions while running them at the panel’s native resolution. The two modes are named as ‘fit’ and ‘expand’.
The drivers would be providing a performance boost for Watch Dogs, Thief and Murdered Soul Suspect. Along with the 25%-28% improvement, it is said that it will be providing up to 99% performance scaling for Watch Dogs in its crossfire profile. The newer drivers can be downloaded from here
