AMD is all set to release two of its processors under its performance variant FX series lineup. Unlike in the past where the red team pushed FX-9000 series with 220w TDP, AMD is coughing up FX-8370 and FX-8370E. The FX-8370 with 125w TDP may replace FX-8350. The ‘E’ version is an energy efficient variant with TDP of up to 95w. The E variant will cost more than the non-E variant.
Both of these processors will be clocked at 4.10 GHz base clock and 4.30 via TurboCore. Other than that, its nothing new. Its the same 32nm Vishera-based core that uses 4 Piledriver CPU that provides native support for 1866MHz DDR3. Along with BIOS updates, these processors can be used with existing AM3+ based motherboards. Both processors will be released by September 2nd.
