AMD to release 2 new Vishera FX processors

There hasn’t been anything new from AMD’s desktop lineup (yet) since the launch of Vishera FX Series as of now as the current architecture will still be used throughout 2013. But as of now, AMD did release 2 models with higher clock speeds, replacing FX 8350 as the flagship model.

AMD FX-8770 and FX-9000 will still be based on Piledriver architecture with same L2 and L3 Cache count with same DDR3 frequency support and same AM3+ socket, and they both use 32nm process. What’s changed is the CPU clock and the TDP. Both processors would come with 220 W TDP and FX-9000 will come with 4.8 GHz with Turbo pushing up to 5.0 GHz. The clock speed on FX-8770 is unknown for now.

The FX-8770 and the new flagship processor FX-9000 is said to make its debut during E3 which will be held between June 11- June 13.
