AMD to launch Radeon R9 Nano by August

The small form factor graphic card Radeon R9 Nano will be releasing in August though AMD didn’t give away any specifications. So far, it is known that the GPU is based on Fiji core whose full version has 256 Texture mapping units and 4096 stream processors. How much of the core specs would be reduced for the Radeon R9 Nano is currently unknown.

What is known is that the Radeon R9 Nano is a 7.64″ long with 175w TDP and will also be using HBM. Judging by the images from AMD’s live stream, the Radeon R9 Nano doesn’t seem to be having any DVI output as well.

It will be using a reference air cooling design, but AMD did indicate during its live-stream that it will offer 2x the performance-per-watt and 2x the performance density compared to its previous single-core flagship variant, the Radeon R9 290X.
