CM retires Extreme Series Power Supplies ; introduces Thunder Series to takes its place

Coolermaster introduces 3 power supplies within the thunder series: 450w, 500w and the 600w units in compliance with ATX 12V v2.3 standard.

They designed these keeping voltage fluctuation in mind and made these power supplies to withstand voltage fluctuations between 180~264 VAC with dual layer EMI filter and input capacitors to produce holding times of >14ms in full load. All of these power supplies use active PFC with over-voltage, over power, over current and short circuit protection circuit.

Seeing that newer hardware (especially graphic cards) are being more energy efficient, its important that units between 400w- 600w are more emphasized on. CM also said that if and when one sends an end user would send their extreme series power supplies for RMA, the end user will be getting the Thunder Series is return.
