Surprising as it may sound, but the upcoming game Deus Ex: Mankind will be using graphic technology from both GPU makers AMD and Nvidia. The game is delayed to August 23rd to meet gamer’s expectations. It will be available for consoles and PCs.
The specific tech that the game will be using from AMD is PureHair technology- and as the name suggests it will render realistic looking strands of hair just like how it’s used in the Rise of the Tomb Raider. Deus Ex: Mankind will be using Dawn Engine that uses Nvidia’s technology. It is expected that the engine is optimised for both AMD and Nvidia GPUs.
While consoles will have a locked 30 FPS version, the PC version’s framerate will have no restriction and even use DirectX 12. As of now, its PC requirements are unknown. But it’s interesting to see that one game uses technology from both graphics core manufacturing that is known to give fierce competition to each other. One may even speculate that future gaming monitors may provide both AMD Freesync and Nvidia G=Sync.
As of now, Deus Ex: Mankind available for a pre-order.
