Ubisoft announced in their blog that Far Cry 4 will be released in North America for consoles and PC on November 18th. The game studio added that this will also be an open world first person shooter set in a fiction-made Himalayan region ‘Kyrat’ that’s ruled by a self-proclaimed king. As seen in previous Far Cry games, Far Cry 4 will have exotic geographic features for the player to explore.
The game’s executive producer Dan Hay said,”Following the success of Far Cry 3, we wanted to take the franchise to the next level and create a game that will surprise players and exceed fans’ expectations. Given the unique setting, we feel Far Cry 4 will stand out as a top first-person shooter and we’re eager to reveal more about the game in the coming months.”
As of now, the game is developed across Ubisoft Studios in 5 locations: Montreal, Toronto, Shangai and Kiev.
It was also revealed that pre-order customer who has also played Far Cry 3 will see Hurk re-appearing in the game for three single-player missions called as ‘Hurk’s Redemption’. Once the pre-order is placed, Far Cry 4 will be automatically upgraded as a Limited Edition. Ubisoft will present the first gameplay footage in E3 2014 on June 9th.
