There will be an open BETA for Forza Motorsport 6: Apex coming out on May 5th and this game will run on the PC. Microsoft Games’ upcoming title will be available via Windows 10 store on the same date.
What you need to know is that Apex will be DirectX 12 enabled, and will have advanced graphic sub-menu option. Furthermore, this is the first time Microsoft is bringing its ForzaTech engine for the PC. The game’s minimum requirement for the CPU is a quad-core based Core i3- 4170 and Nvidia GeForce GT 740 or AMD Radeon R7 250X. The game will require 8GB as a bare-minimum RAM requirement and the 30 GB across the board.
There are three system requirements for this game, the third being the ideal. It’s fascinating to see that to run the game on 4K @ 60FPS, you will need to run it on an SSD along with a Core i7-6700K and GTX980Ti/Fury X. This is probably the first time a game studio is recommending an SSD over a mechanical drive. How about that!
Just like many upcoming and presently available games, you will require Windows 10-64 bit 1511 built version. It should be pointed out that the game will only run on a DX-12 capable graphic card, irrespective of how big and mighty your previous DX generation based card this.
The detailed specifications are as follows:
Microsoft Games also recommends that one should play this game with a XBox One controller, and pointed out that there will be no steering wheel support at the time of launch. Forza Motorsport 6: Apex will have a set of 63 cars, 20 track configurations, a career mode with 12-race tour. There will also be a ‘Spotlight Series’ where showcase-style events will be updated regularly. It also indicated an option of chasing down ‘The Stig’ in cockpit view. The Open BETA is free for download.
