BIOS Overview

Gigabyte has a familiar looking BIOS but I’ve seen improvement as time passes. The interesting part is the ability to choose the flash type between FAST and INTACT and the differences shown between them. X99 Designare EX has two BIOS mode- the Easy Mode and the Classic mode.

Under peripherals, you get the option to enable/disable LED accents, including for the header. The BIOS provides a secure erase feature for the SSD and controls for the Thunderbolt controller.

Easy Mode’s display feels a little cluttered but has all the basic requirements under one screen.
