GTX 770 performance benchmarks shows 1%-19% boost over AMD Radeon 7970 GHz Edition

Its been few days Nvidia released GTX 780, but haven’t made any noise or announcement about GTX 770, but the performance numbers were recently being put up and it shows significant boost over AMD Radeon 7970 GHz Edition.

So far, its rumoured that the card uses the same core as GTX 680- GK 104 with core clock speed of 1046 GHz. It comes with 1536 cores, 128 texture mapping units, 2GB GDDR5 by default but can be paired with 4GB GDDR5 memory if the manufacturer chooses to do so. The dimensions are similar to Titan as its 10.5″ long and required power from 6 and 8 pin PCIe power connector. TDP is said to be 230 W.

Specifically, the GeForce GTX 770 has 11% boost over HD 7970 GHz edition in Batman: Arkham City with 2560 x 1600 resolution. With games like Assassin’s Creed 3, Borderlands 2, BF3, Crysis 3, Skyrim and Max Payne 3, the performance ranges between 1% to 19% with resolutions of 1080p and 1600p.

Its also been said that there’s no point for existing GTX 670 and 680 owners to upgrade, same goes for 7950 and 7970 users. But as a person who is buying a card for the first time, you consider it if you like the GTX Titan type cooler and Boost 2.0. Basically, its a GTX 680 in disguise.
