Intel’s upcoming T-series CPU specifications are coming up in these motherboard manufacturer’s QVL list. Therefore, it gives legitimacy to its SKU variants and specifications. The T-series CPUs are in Core i3, Core i5, Core i7 and Core i9. The T-series Intel CPUs denotes lower power consumption rating. The release date is expected to be May 15th.
Purpose of low powered variants
The trade-off between the standard locked/unlocked variants with the T-series is the reduced clock speed. But it maintains the same core/thread counts and cache size. This will be useful for people who want a powerful system with low power consumption, especially in slim form factors. Lower TDP ratings enable the user to choose low-profile CPU cooler.
T-series Intel CPU spec sheet
|CPU Model||Cores / Threads||Base Frequency||Boost Frequency||Cache||TDP|
|Core i9-9900T||8 / 16||2.1 GHz||4.4 GHz||16MB||35W|
|Core i7-9700T||8 / 8||2 GHz||4.3 GHz||12MB||35W|
|Core i5-9600T||6 / 6||2.3 GHz||3.9 GHz||9MB||35W|
|Core i5-9500T||6 / 6||2.2 GHz||3.7 GHz||9MB||35W|
|Core i5-9400T||6 / 6||1.8 GHz||3.4 GHz||9MB||35W|
|Core i3-9100T||4 / 4||3.1 GHz||3.7 GHz||6MB||35W|
The highlight of this list is the Core i9-9900T. The K and KF sub-variants are with 3.6 GHz clock speed with 95W TDP rating. The Core i9-9900T is clocked at 2.10 GHz has a TDP of 35-watt. The Core i9-9900K and Core i9-9900T will use the UHD 630 on-chip graphics.
Would there be a pricing difference?
We don’t know if this would result in a noteworthy price difference. Ideally, we should have expected the Core i9-9900KF to have a lowered pricing than the Core i9-9900K. The F suffix is the CPUs with disabled iGPUs. According to a listing, this T version will be priced for £455.32.
