New information surface about Intel’s upcoming HEDT processor ‘Haswell-E’ and X99 desktop chipset by September 14th, according to VR-Zone. Intel would be releasing processors modeled Core i7 5960X, Core i7 5930K and Core i7 5820K.
This news wouldn’t be surprising, and it seems that the information is confirmed, at least by Intel Australia:
As Intel pointed out in their presentation, Intel X99 will be the first chipset to support DDR4 2133MHz memory. It will use LGA-2011-E socket. As far as the Haswell-E HEDT processors are concerned, another source listed the specifications for the HEDT processor lineups.
As pointed out earlier, Haswell-E would be having multiple options for overclocking and fine-tuning, along with Thunderbolt 2.0, Wireless 802.11 ac and more.
