Intel redesigns stock cooler for upcoming HEDT CPU

Its something that most PC hardware enthusiasts would keep it aside without bothering to notice any difference, but Intel is re-designing its CPU cooler for the upcoming Haswell-E HEDT processors with LGA 2011-3 socket, modelled i7 5960X, 5930X and 5820K.

The TS13A Stocker CPU cooler will have the following improvements over the current HEDT RTS2011AC Stock cooler:

  • Taller heatsink (75mm Vs. 63mm)
  • Copper core replaced with Copper heat column with a Heatpipe
  • Bifurcated and curved fins for heatsinks

It is only a matter of time when we come to know if such CPU cooler redesign will be effective. Naturally, people will prefer aftermarket CPU cooler unless the situation and application restrict that choice.
