HyperX Datatraveler comes in a sealed blister pack. You’ll need to cut- out the plastic to remove the drive from the pack.

On the front, Kingston assures a Read speed of 225MB/s and Write Speed of 135MB/s via USB 3.0- based on internal testing. Also, Kingston clearly indicates 5 years of a warranty period on the drive.

After opening it up, you’ll see the drive’s shell is plastic with a combination blue coloured aluminium and matte black smooth feel-ish type design to show-off the HyperX’s “X” design.

The Shell is very rugged with a very tight seal. I would have like to open flash drives and check out what Flash NAND and control they use so that the readers can understand more about this drive, but unfortunately, the only way to do it is by forcefully prying the aluminium out first to split the casing- and that will damage the aluminium since it seems to be glued on the shell.

Moving on…

  1. arey but where will i get this here? not even flipkart has listed this product at all.

  2. kingston should really work on USB storage devices with retractable ports. people accidentally loose the caps and this is a drive many wouldn’t like that. Corsair does that. kingston should do it too.
