According to a report, Kingston is planning on lowering the price of the memory kits citing the reason of a weak market demand.
The ‘substantial’ price cuts, according to various media reports from Taiwan, is because SK Hynix DRAM memory chips have reduced the price of the DRAM. However it was Kingston who first announced that there will be a decrease in memory kit price from August onwards.
Along with SK Hynix, other memory manufacturers have also decreased the pricing as such moves violently shakes the entire DRAM industry.
According to the report it was also said that DRAM price trend was good for the manufacturers since there was an upstream supply chain, but at the end of the day, its the market trend and purchases that decides the faith of demand and sales.
When will this move effectively reflect the newer prices in the worldwide markets is remained to be seen.
