Prototype Design for ROG Motherboard: Doing what no mobo heatsinks has done before!!

Asus does a lot of RnD and prototype designs, especially for ROG lineups, but this gives a bit more “bump”.

This is the new prototype design/mockup that they have put up recently. Not really too sure who is the one who has come up with this design, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this is a concept cooked by Shamino, who is officially working with Asus for some time.

¬†Asus ROG facebook page came with few teaser pictures of what ROG is planning to do. As far as what they call as “Crosshair prototype”.

It’s got integrated watercooling (see the pump over the northbridge with its brass joints) and an adjustable fin stack hanging over the CPU socket.

This is pretty interesting. If you remember X58A-UD9/990FX UD7, it came with a waterblock add-on for the northbridge but this is one radical design. There’s no more information about it yet but do enjoy the photos till the time any news surfaces:
