While the read speeds are in sync with the newer makes, the same couldn’t be said about the write speeds. It wouldn’t matter for general system users, but for the same price you are getting something better, so why not?

If you are still using this drive, you’re not going to miss anything. If this drive is available at a cheaper rate than SSDNow UV400, you could consider shortlisting it. But keep in mind that there are many entry-level SSDs, some of which are made by those who manufacture their own SSD controller, DRAM and or NAND.  I am curious to know if the newer G26 performs better than the G25- or even the SSDNow UV400 for the same price point.
