We all love leaks, don’t we? (the real ones). But then there are leaks and there are those who give a little teaser well before its launched, and they’re proud to do so (like a boss!).
Such is the case when Sweclockers who have put few screenshots which includes GPU-Z and couple of benchmark comparison.
The entry level Radeon HD 7790 is said to bridge the gap between HD 7770 and HD 7850. The card uses 768 stream processors with 1075MHz GPU frequency and a 128-bit bus.
This card is based on GCN 2.0 architecture which will be used in the upcoming Radeon HD 8000 series with a choice of either 1 or 2GB GDDR5 memory. It is said that the card comes with the recommended price of £118 and and set to be available in April 2013.
The Sapphire’s card is a dual slot design which uses 2x fans.
The actual PCB is measured at 21.5″ and uses 6 pin PCIe connector to draw power. The output it uses are 2x DVI, 1x HDMI and DisplayPort so it will support AMD HD3D and Eyefinity.
Looking at 3DMark standard and 3DMark 11 Extreme preset using 1920 x 1080 resolution, the card stays between HD Radeon 7770 and HD Radeon 7850.
Now that Nvidia is encouraged to release a faster GTC 650Ti, we can hope the competition between the red and the green team will prove beneficial for those who are looking for a cheaper solution for decent play using 1080p resolution, but only time will tell how much can the new GTX 650 Ti can product better results.
